This week I introduce a new feature here at MacSlash, the Software Shootout. Every week or so we're gonna pick a topic area and let you guys tell us which piece of software performs best in that area and why.
Our first edition is MP3 players, more specifically iTunes vs. SoundJam vs. Audion. We want to know which you use and why. Points to analyze include MP3 encoding, skinability (skins and faces), sound quality, usability, integration with CD burning and the qulaity of technical support. (Don't just tell me "iTune5 ru13z dud3!") I also want to know how well it handles large collections of files, as I've got 7000 MP3s accessable form several different computers in my house.
