Ask MacSlash:Multi-Processing 604e upgrade vs. G3/G4
posted by acaben on Friday November 17, @04:43AM
from the which-upgrade-path-is-right dept.
Upgrades Suburban Rhythm writes "I have a PowerComputing PowerTowerPro 200, and I was thinking about upgrading it. While searching around for deals, I came across a Multi-processor 200mhz 604e upgrade card. It's price is similar to that of a 400mhz G3, and I was wondering which would offer better performance? I am a multimedia student, so I plan on using some of those applications that support multi-processing. Also would it be better to save up longer and just get a G4?"
